In my work I explore the relationship between the natural and the artificial and incorporate it in my objects in several ways. Tight, industrial contours of the shapes I make merge imperceptibly into a flowing organic line. Sometimes I use earth and materials such as epoxy and synthetic resin in one work, which emphasizes the meeting between these two domains. The colors are related to the two domains. Some refer to the living colours of skin and plants. Others that do not occur in nature, I associate with the industrial, the intentional.A question always arises: what is the meaning of “natural” and “artificial”? How do these concepts relate to each other in image/form and is there a boundary between the two?
